Leading with Conversational Intelligence®

Conversational Intelligence®, also referred to as C-IQ, is the science behind understanding how our brains respond during conversations. We can either uplift & value people during conversations or exclude, reject and demotivate them, it all starts with conversations.

As leaders we often don’t realise the impact our conversations have on others. Positive conversations that build trust and collaboration are critical in creating psychological safety in the workplace and a ‘one team approach. ‘ These conversations build trust and create innovative workplaces as people feel safe to offer new ideas, solutions and challenge current processes.

Positive conversations create the chemical oxytocin which assists to open up our executive brain being the pre-front cortex and reach our full potential. We embrace new ideas; we think more strategically; we collaborate; and we demonstrate higher emotional intelligence.

Some conversations have the opposite effect they make us feel threatened, unsafe and create the chemical called cortisol. Which causes people to feel threatened, and therefore withdraw and become de- motivated and contribute less. Continued cortisol production is also damaging to our health.

Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) 360 Assessment

The leadership circle profile(LCP) is a 360 Leadership assessment tool; enabling you to compare your own feedback to feedback provided by your Boss, Peers, Direct Reports and other stakeholders. It provides the opportunity for you to reflect on how others perceive you against how you see yourself. It’s the only 360 instrument that measures the two primary leadership domains of Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies – and integrates this information so that key opportunities for development rise to the surface enabling participants to become extraordinary leaders and to be able to thrive in a VUCA world of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
